Notes to get to know me

WHO AM I

Pramesti Afsayunianda, 21 years old, a computer science student in Taiwan. That’s who I am in general, but if you wish to know me deeper, I’m absolutely more than that.

I come to Taiwan on August 2023 when I was just turned 18 few month earlier, coming here all by myself leaving my family and friends is really scary but I know that my family wanted me to have bright future here in Taiwan. Despite not knowing the language well and the fact that I didn’t know anyone, I still went and survived.

I didn’t just survived, I live and I find myself loving me more and loving the country that once is strange to me.

A CHAPTER WE CREATED

Finding Our Community

It started with a few friends who simply loved to read. Somewhere between our favorite books, conversations after studies, and endless discussions about stories, me and my friends decided to create something of our own.

We started our own book club — a small space where we could share ideas, discover new stories, and meet people who understood the joy of getting lost in a good book.

“Sometimes, you find your people
between the pages of a book.”
02 SUMMER EXPERIENCE

I came to teach.
I ended up learning.

During the summer, I worked as an English Teaching Assistant at a school in Taiwan.

01

Observe

I got to experience the school environment in Taiwan and learn more about how students learn and interact.

02

Understand

Being around children taught me that everyone has different personalities and different ways of learning. I learned to listen, adapt, and understand them.

03

Grow

The experience made me more responsible and patient. I also developed soft skills such as communication, teamwork, empathy, and adaptability.
